How a Neoxum anti-reflective film ended up under the paraglider
Nowadays, almost all electronic devices are equipped with a display, and every day countless new models from more or less well-known manufacturers are added. It is virtually impossible for us to have the perfectly fitting Display protective film or the suitable Hybrid glass ready for all newly released models immediately. As a display protection manufacturer, we therefore offer our customers the opportunity to simply inquire with us and provide us with the data of the display to be anti-reflective or just protected. A particularly impressive request recently reached us from an aviation enthusiast.
Perfect communication with the customer – Perfect measurements provided by the customer
The customer inquiry was about a Xiaomi RedMi Note 10 Pro. Unfortunately, at that time, we did not have digital data such as display size, display shape, cutouts, and corner radii of the Xiaomi smartphone. Through our form for consumer customer contact (contact form for business and industrial customers), Timo S. reached out to us with a very nice inquiry. After a brief coordination, Timo S. was able to send us a perfect template for conversion into 2D data for laser production of a suitable anti-reflective display protection film. In addition to top-notch measurements by the customer, Timo S. also sent us some great photos of his previously highly reflective phone display for illustration and clarification.
Customer data for customizationg
Based on the excellent customer data, a 2D data set was created for the Xiaomi phone, and the precisely fitting anti-reflective screen protector was produced on our laser systems at the site in Allgäu (Bavaria). The customer received their order by mail, which is still possible for protective films up to a size of about DIN A4, meaning larger tablets. For larger screen protectors or even anti-reflective films for televisions, we send our products as a package in special packaging to ensure the shipment safely reaches its destination.
Do the data always have to be delivered so perfectly?
Very clear answer: No! We can also manage with far less perfect customer data or templates for device displays. Very often, we receive complete devices directly from device manufacturers or their distributors, dealers, or wholesalers, whose displays we measure at our location. This allows us to obtain the necessary 2D datasets for manufacturing the display screen protectors or hybrid glasses through a digitization process. We can also process 3D data in STP, STEP, IGES, or 2D exchange formats like DXF, as well as native data from vector drawing programs. Alternatively, we utilize our good relationships with device manufacturers and request the corresponding data.
Customer feedback
In exchange with the customer, we also received feedback on the quality of the anti-glare film for the Xiaomi phone after a few days.
I am very satisfied with the slide. As can be seen in the pictures, it cannot work miracles, of course, but it significantly improves the situation.
