OnScreen ® Hybrid glass for industry

Industrial large customer of OnScreen Hybrid glass convinces

After an intensive 4-week test, our industrial client with a three-letter name (which we cannot disclose for data protection reasons) was impressed by the performance of the Neoxum OnScreen® Hybridglass Completely convinced as a screen protector. Our highly transparent hybrid glass was applied to three touchscreen displays, an industrial tablet, and a notebook in industrial assembly and manufacturing. During the one-month test phase, the screens, ranging in size from 14 to approximately 20 inches diagonally, were operated intensively every day. We were informed that the touch devices were operated with both sometimes dirty and oily fingers, as well as with tools including wrenches, pens, and Allen keys. Furthermore, the screens were wiped and cleaned with workshop rags. At the end of the day shift, a cleaning team cleaned the displays with cleaning agents (the cleaning agent is unknown).

Test Results for Industrial Use

Our client's project manager told us that previously too many displays and screens had been scratched during assembly due to rough handling within a relatively short period. In areas that are repeatedly clicked (e.g., the „OK“ button), the touchscreen sometimes no longer responds or responds incorrectly. After a 4-week test phase, virtually no signs of wear were visible on the hybrid glass. In particular, the surfaces of the device displays showed no scratches or mechanical damage. The hybrid glass withstood rough cleaning without any marks. Mobile devices used as mobile measurement computers also show scratches and signs of failure after some time, even on non-touch displays.

Conclusion of deployment OnScreen ® Hybridglass

After testing the crystal-clear hybrid glass, our customer ordered several hundred hybrid glass films in various sizes and shapes. Special shapes had to be created for some devices. We are particularly proud of the production of several approximately 50-inch hybrid glasses in a matte anti-glare version: In production and assembly areas, infoscreen monitors for employees are protected by hybrid glass 1. from damage and 2. distracting glare from side light (partially direct sunlight) is greatly reduced with the help of the anti-reflective coating. This makes it possible to easily read, for example, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators or figures on company success) again.
