Professional instructions for installing the display film

For larger displays starting at 20 inches—such as televisions, office monitors, or digital signage systems—wet mounting is recommended. To do this, spray a little distilled water with a drop of dish soap onto the display and the back of the film. This allows the film to be easily positioned and repositioned. This technique enables you to apply a display protective film even on very large screens without relying on tape or alignment aids.

Disconnect the device from the power outlet

In the first step, completely disconnect the device from the power supply by unplugging the power cord. Ideally, place the device flat on a stable work surface. If this is not possible, for example, because the device is mounted on the wall or feet are in the way, that's not a problem. The only important thing is: The device must be de-energized!

Check compatibility

Take the bottle of demineralized water and moisten one corner of a microfiber cloth with 1-2 sprays. Afterwards, test the display's compatibility in an inconspicuous area, for example, in a corner.

After checking for compatibility, you can clean the display. Repeat the test with the cleaning agent by applying 1-2 sprays again to another corner of the microfiber cloth and checking compatibility on a small area. If you have any doubts, please consult the device manufacturer's user manual.

Cleaning the display

Clean the display thoroughly with a suitable cleaner, to remove dust, lint, and fingerprints. The display must be absolutely clean and free of residue.

Note: We assume the display is compatible with deionized water. This water is non-conductive and leaves no residue after drying completely.

Peel off the carrier film and moisten the silicone adhesive layer

For this step, it is recommended to involve a second person.

1. Carefully peel off the bottom carrier film of the display film piece by piece using the silver peel tabs.
2. Avoid touching the siliconized adhesive layer with your fingers. If necessary, use grease-free, clean hands (wash hands thoroughly beforehand).
3. One person holds the film up while the second person pulls off the carrier film evenly and without jerking.
4. Moisten the exposed silicone adhesive layer evenly with demineralized water. Hold the spray head at a distance of 10-30 cm and operate the pump head.

Moisten device display

Lightly moisten the device's display with deionized water as well. Hold the spray head at a distance of 10-30 cm and spray so that the entire display surface is lightly wetted.

Applying the display film

Carefully place the moistened display film onto the also moistened display. Position the film without applying pressure. Thanks to the water film, you can „float“ the film on the display until it is perfectly aligned.

Once the position is correct:

1. Carefully squeegee out the water film with the included squeegee or a plastic card (e.g., a credit card with its edge wrapped in a soft cloth), without applying pressure.
2. Immediately remove the water with an absorbent cloth, preferably cotton, to prevent water from getting under the display frame.
3. Carefully squeegee out any air bubbles that may have formed, directing them towards the nearest edge.

Remove transport protective film

After the display protector is correctly applied and finally aligned, remove the thin, transparent transport protection film. Carefully peel it off using the yellow tabs.

Complete drying

Before reconnecting the device to the power supply, ensure it is completely dry. Only reconnect the device after it has completely dried.

Anti-reflective, anti-glare films reduce distracting reflections through a matte microstructure made of high-quality PET material, which scatters light without affecting image quality or touch functionality – ideal for wet mounting on large displays..
